Vern's Pizza

Just tried Vern's Pizza in Edmonton the other night; recommended by a friend because they don't scrimp on the toppings. Well, he wasn't kidding, there must have been 2 pounds of ham on that thing! Darn good pizza. They also make a 10 pound 18" pizza they call "Mama Mia." Would like to see what that looks like! Left them a specially marked twenty….

The woman working there told me they originated out of Saskatchewan and are slowly moving West, so of course I thought of all you Sask people. So, how many of you have dropped a few CMT bills at Vern's?

I've never heard of Vern's pizza in Regina, but I'll have to check and see if there is one. Sounds pretty good, but our local hotel in my small town Sask. makes the best pizza dough anywhere. When I worked there we had people come from all over just to try it. Some wanted the recipe but it comes in batches of 40 pizza's.
I would give my customers CMT bills for change, haven't heard back….yet!

The Mama Mia (XL) weighs over 10 pounds! We used to order 'em at work- two pieces will demolish you! Don't order it if you don't like greasy pizza, but if you're having a party, it's definitely an awesome unit!

I had this pizza in Medicine Hat durring the winter games. it was huge, and pretty cheap too. I enjoyed it alot.. Recommended

Vern's has been around here for years, I'm guessing at least 15 or so. Not much crust, not much cheese, but man, the meat is an inch thick!

I wouldn't classify it as a pizza… more like a chunk of meat.

If anybody is in Shell Lake during the summer, try the pizza at Chipper's. Dale makes one heck of a pizza!

I've been buying Vern's for years in Saskatoon. I spent two months this past summer in Edmonton - living in St. Albert. I thought I was in heaven when I discovered a Vern's there!

Oh yes, I spend only MARKED bills at Vern's.

That about describes it! But the ham they use is very good stuff, nothing cheap, and the pizza wasn't greasy at all. I'll be going back for sure.
