I was working a grave shift at my work on Saturday night and this guy (who I think was drunk) wanted change for a five. So, I went to the office to see if the keys were there. I couldn't find them, so I just gave him what I had. I looked at the bill and it was a bill that I had. I don't have it anymore (I had to use it for gas money!) But I think it's weird that it came back to me without getting a hit! Has that happened to anyone here?
Maybe people can't read…or they don't have the time…or no access to Internet…or don't care…or are suspicious…or…
How about "Enter this serial number and WIN at www.cdn-money.com!"
Enter this serial number and WIN at www.cdn-money.com!
I would prefer that people NOT mark bills with that… unless you are prepared to give me some prizes to give away. Even then, there are some serious issues (such as having this site shut down by legal action or something) that may arise. Anyway, as I've said over and over, I don't want people to enter in money because they might win something. We want people to come here because they are actually interested in tracking their money.

Actually, 2 weeks ago, my friend said something interesting. He said it would be cool if tere was a site that showed where your money goes. I was going to tell him this site, but I never got the chance.
I received a Ten and a Five in change from a Twenty from the corner store last night and they both just happened to have my stamp on them so I returned to the store and bought some chips and dip and a drink. (that stop for 1 litre of milk cost me $8.00, just to keep those bills in circulation)
I had the idea ages ago to mark my bill with WIN**.. the tenth hitter got a T-Shirt. I stopped after a couple of bill since people looked at me wierd.
If I get one of my bills back I ask for different ones.. Haven't had a problem getting them changed yet..
I agree. We shouldn't make our stamps look too suspicious. I had one lady run my 20 thru the detector and then she noticed the stamp and ran it through again. I get alot of funny looks. But then my stamp says "Stop counterfeiters in their tracks at www.cdn-money.com" Just kidding!…Just KIDDING!!
Not a bad idea…….or something like:
-only real bills found here: www.cdn-money.com
or, GENUINE BILLS ONLY AT WWW.CDN-MONEY.COM
-REAL PEOPLE, REAL CASH AT WWW.CDN-MONEY.COM
Time for a new stamp!
Cash verified by: WWW.CDN-MONEY.CA
I hope that's not what you stamp on your bills Idjit. Mine is .com
Even better! Almost had me wondering about my hit rate though.
I print .ca on one side and .com on the other. Keep 'em guessing.
That's hilarious Idjit…must have been a typo…! lol
When I try the .ca address nothing happens. It says BAD GATEWAY? NO HOST.
weird, when I type in .ca, it automatically bumps me to .com. I just tried it in Mozilla, IE, and Netscape.
Well I'm sure a better explanation of the .ca story could be given by dr, however, a year or so in to the life of the site I remember he registered .ca just in case so that no one could come along and snap it up just to mess with us happy trackers.
does it cost money to register a .ca address or does he just have to have a server?
I think you have to pay for everything. Except .tk domains.
I just asked my dad and he said that u can just host it off your server. there is no one to pay
