Wahoooooo ....... I made the 700 Club

It was a long time in coming, but I thank my fellow trackers for all the hits that have been bestowed upon me. Thanks to Zchristy in Martensville,Sask. for making it happen!!!

i made it closer to 560, but whose countin'? i guess we just disagree about what constitutes a "good" hit. i have always been more inclined to track the "normal" circulation of banknotes.. you know, happenstance, kismet and all that. i just get leery when odds are even more skewed than a lottery vendor's chances of winning in ontario… :)

First congratulations to J.D. Fever on your 700 milestone.

Let me first point out to all concerned (or not) a few points and then I will turn my soap box back to Rudyk as he seems to have much more use of it now then I do in the forums.

I joined this site many years ago when I found three Idjit bills …. at the time he managed a store that I visited at least once a week. I received these bills and his stamp was so neat that I entered the site and well here i am three and a half years later as the only other superior tracker. my hit dad and i are the only two on the site to have such a high rank.

I have filled many goals on this site and caused a few waves along the way and stepped on more than a few toes. For those who I have ever offended on this site or hurt your feelings or ticked off in any way I am sorry and please forgive my determination and drive if it bothers you.

I entered this site as a person who loves money and the tracking of it as much as many men and women like football and hockey. i can name most of the players on the cmt site top ten list and have at one time or another talked to many of them in person and in private message. some of us have become good friends and some have become jealous rivals or opinonated adversary. many a time when Rudyk and I locked horns … I have to go find my dictionary just to figure out what he said to me (or about me). this man as much as he is a pain in the butt has at times some good points. he has caused his share of waves on the site and even left the site for a short time in protest for his personal views. I do not (very seldom) agree with his opinions but I defend his right to those opinions regardless how strange they may seem to me.

I have done work for many of the local Saskatoon members at one time or another and I have sent my business and support towards other members businesses in any way I can.

Gouche who is computer savy and makes rubber stamps got my support in both fields and in return he gave me business.
We exchanged cash for these business transactions and I entered each and every bill I got for these deals. all fair hits to me.

BDK retired from the government and now works harder then he ever has in his life as a contractor … when I needed work done he was the first man I called and if he was not so darn busy … I could supply him with many jobs.
Why??? Because I need the work done and networking is the way to go … we became friends through this site.

In fact the only reason that I am on my soap box today is due to the fact DR. J.D.Fever and I attended the races yesterday as we do every RACE DAY in the summer and we ran into BDK in the raceway parking lot. J.D. and BDK talked about this thread in the forum and of course I had to ask about it as I do not read this forum often as it is not on my favorites in fact when I came to look for this thread I had a full five pages of unread files in this area.

Pooga has got my business in the supply of drink to my staff … I do not drink beer and do not care how it is made I think it is a foul brew with a bad smell and taste however many like it and as I buy it for my staff as a reward for hard work I could care less what brand I support (before I met Pooga the brand that gave me free stuff was the one I bought) However as a CMT member I turned my support to his company. We have done work for him at his home and while in Ontario I tried to fill a request for him to no avail. When I do work for him I am paid in cash (marked money) and I enter every bill as they are fair hits. Recently I bought a cube van from down east and loaded it with new appliances for our kitchen. the ones we had were not old at all but hey my brother is in the business in Ontario and I had the cube van so my wife got all new appliances and when Pooga saw the fridge I was selling bought it for his wife with all marked money… and yes I entered all those ligit hits also.

What I am saying is that if I can throw business towards a fellow CMT member I will and if they are kind enough to use my services or buy something I have to sell I am very happy for the work or sale.

JD Fever who takes Care of his elderly parents had always used outside services around his home and when we became friends through this site I was more than happy to take the work. He cancelled his services with my competition and directed the work my way. Now as I did all this work for his family JD and I have become friends and when I am paid for work my company has done it seems all the cash given is marked… and yes I enter the money as ligit hits. I have eaten out with his family many times and have adopted his parents as my own so to speak as my mom and dad live so far away and family is dear to me. Much of the work I do for his family is done free except for a few dollars given to cover my costs. I do lots of work st no charge for seniors as my way of giving back to those who walked before me and cleared the path for me to prosper. Now I do not run a charity and the things I do for free are jut little extras for my customers that pay for other services from my company.

I made an offer to buy Idgits truck if he ever decides to part with it and yes I would pay him cash and yes they would be marked bills and if he entered every bill all would be ligit hits.

Because JD Fever and I travel in the same circle and deal with many of the same companies our money does pass through each others hands often. It is the same that at the races yesteday night I bough my hot dogs and drink and paid with three fives …BDK was behind me in line and bought a burger if he got one of my bills as change I would expect a hit.

What Rudyk failed to look at was the number of bills that I have out in Saskatoon marked and entered. I am lucky that I deal with my day to day operations in cash and due to the fact I operate a fair sized business am able to spread many more bills than most trackers. Just in cash advances to my workers I spread a couple of thousand dollars every week (I have not resorted in doing my whole payroll in cash as my accountant would not be happy). I do not mark my money and then put in back into the bank but spend it in the main stream of business. When I buy dog food at walmart for my guard dogs I hand the cashier forty or more fives and at the local walmart I am known as the pedigree man. Two rotties eat a fair amount of food every week. When I shop at Costco they know me as the five guy as I often drop one hundred fives at the till.

Just think some people play a game a few hours a week I on the other hand live this game we call CMT daily and as a result put mega marked bills into the system. I give more hits then most as I look at every bill that travels through my hands for markings and if they are not marked then I mark then and off they go. So in nut shell if anyone has a landscape job to do or one of the other many services we supply please call my company as we are hit friendly.

OKAY NOW YOU STATS GUYS AND ENGISH PROS MAY CORRECT MY GRAMMER AND SPELLING AND FINF FAULT WITH MY OPIONS BUT THEY ARE JUST THAT MY OPINIONS AND HOW I PLAY THIS GAME CALLED CMT.

while i appreciate the passion and effort BC's voluminous riposte exhibits, i think it is also telling of several basic divergent feelings of members on this site. i believe that the key aspect is his continual reference to "the game" herein. if BC and his ilk were careful enough to observe, no-where on this site is money tracking defined in those terms. it is, indeed, a "fun site" concerned with "tracking money". many of us view this as a hobby… an avocation, diversion or academic enterprise. some others, however, see it as competition and therein lays the problem.

by Rawls' Theory of Distributive Justice the contention can be made that everyone cheats – and that if you are NOT cheating, then you are doing yourself and those for who you are responsible a disservice. any competition… for resources, glory or profit results in people cheating. it is human nature… it is the "Tragedy of the Commons". that is why we need referees… police officers… arbiters… and other such officials.

however, a hobby entails no such regulation. the gain is in the participation. it falls beyond the above named prescriptions for that very reason – cheating does not increase the gain and is therefore inhibited.

and so we have the conundrum. those people who see it all as a game versus those who find the flow of money fascinating and hope to gain knowledge and insight from following normal circulation. the latter revels in tracing the statistical and geographical patterns – while the former seeks "an edge". he seeks out places that are "hit friendly". he puts himself in environments and situations that increase his score. he eschews normal denominations for those he perceives will give him more hits. and they all taint the "normal" circulation of banknotes… and steal from the richness that this hobby can so generously give. all because they blinkeredly contend that they are "playing a game"… oblivious that they are sucking the "fun" out of a pastime that is meant to be only that – FUN.

i made an offer years ago that if someone REALLY requires the "competition" in order to fulfil some unsated desire, i will cheerfully spring for a trophy with your name on it – dedicated to "The World's Best Money tracker". my only provision upon this award is that you leave "the game" behind and begin to just track money… or just spend your time showing your trophy to whomever might care.

well for what it is worth the original design of this site when i signed on was that of tracking money but also had a game factor in it. when you have scores and teams and levels awarded for your effort you then have a game factor. not a sport or a pure hobby or the pure tracking of money but a fun way to track money with a touch of game to keep the general membership coming back. please rudyk put the lab coat away for a minute and see the site for what it is. for some it is a test but a test in many ways some look at all the stats and gain insight on how the money travels, some look at the programing of the site and gain insight, some look at the people involved and gain… well you get the picture. whatever a member of this site gains from their own personal goals or others on this site does not mean a lot. some of us on the site have taken the parts of the site they like and gone with the flow… i for one have made some friends from the site and had set some goals for myself as i do in business every day and have enjoyed 3 1/2 years on the site do those items i deeemed fun. i will not be writting a paper on my findings on completion of a scientic study as this is not all about research and pure tracking of money??? this and other sites becoming public throw the pure totally out of the picture. i believe if i remember correctly this site started as a test of computer programing and a keen desire to see where money traveled everyone may have their own perception of this site but to say it has not game factore is to say the least lame. one last question rudyk … what team did you say you were on?

AND HOW IS TEAM JADED DOING THIS YEAR CAPTAIN?

We might as well face it, but there are as many spins on this site as there are members and we are all here becuase we enjoy the site dr. has provided for us to enjoy in whatever way we see it. Tracking notes to see where they go and how long they stay in circulation is a facination and I hope we all stay for whatever reason we see as the function of this site and good healthy banter about why we are here and how we see the site only add to the fun if we all take it in jest and do our best to understand how other trackers view this fun site..

MAY WE ALL ENJOY THE SITE NO MATTER WHAT OUR REASONS FOR BEING HERE ARE !!!!!! :-)
