I am not sure if this is the proper catergory to put this in, but I'll try it. Anyways, I was at work today and got a bill with a url stamped on it. I would have been so glad if it was this website url, but no. Surprising, it was from a car lot. I just thought this was a new way of advertising. Has anyone else ever seen this before?
I have come across several bills with a stamp that says "Gabbos". I believe that it is a club in Regina, SK.
it also contravenes what the Bank of Canada would allow to be on banknotes and could be subject to investigation. in my conversations with BoC officials, they told me that they would look dimly on any such use – that is, to use canadian banknotes as advertising. this is precisely the reason why i have always been against the provision on advertising on this site – it is one blurry step from what the auto dealer and nightclub have done. and it brings us closer to having strict provisons about putting ANYthing on the notes.
my suggestion – call these businesses up and tell them if you disapprove.
Sometimes that happen out here in the boonies, but only for a auction or estate sale…
I am not sure if I would have a hard time or not. I can't speak french and I am not sure they would, but they most likely could speak english I would think
heres the url(not trying to promote anything)
carlot
I've come across several of the Gabbos bills trippy_trip mentioned. I also once came across one with the address for a Mac's store in Saskatoon.
