Message from Ajantha

A number of users have indicated that they have received anonymous messages from Ajantha requesting money. This has been reported to dr.

The user who did this sent a lot of emails, each done manually through the anonymous email page. I will be coding a preventative solution to this problem over the coming weekend. My apologies to those who received emails (myself included).

But I can assure you that your email addresses are safe, as there was no breach of the server nor was there any hack done. This was good old fashions manaul labour spam. Sigh.

I thought it was amusing. I haven't received a phishing scam email in many months.

I got message today opened it looked at first line and then deleted it.

Same here. Got the same email from Ajantha also.

Hmmm…..how can someone so "poor" afford internet access? hahah

If this person would spend as much time at a real job as they do sending out fraudulent e-mails, maybe they could earn a living!?

now really people i realize we are all smart enough on this site (i would hope) to see this message for what it is. but really if these types of things do not get this type of person any money they would not be around… yes there are people who would actually send money to this kind of scam. i am happy to hear that the site was not hacked and that all is fine. what the heck if was at least a funny read.

Well MY feelings are hurt. I never received the message personally…(sob) but I'm glad I had the chance to read it in the forum. It was an amusing letter that I HOPE was fake. I give the guy some credit. I certainly wouldn't have the guts to write all that even if it was true and I had one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel.

well, i DID reply to the author of the letter (in brutally frank language) and the reply i got simply said:

Mr Rudy I send you my true story dont misunderstand.

whatever. perhaps his situation is retroactive kharma for the sin of spam.

When we didn't own a computer, I always accessed the 'net for free at the local library…

Incase you couldn't tell….as per many other replies in this thread poking fun at ajantha's message….my comment wasn't meant to be taken so seriously….hense the "ha ha ha"….I am well aware of the many ways for the general public to gain access to the internet thanks

Sorry…didn't catch all the meanings of the "ha ha ha". I only picked up that Ajantha probably already has the money he says he needs. Guess I've been working too much to pick up on anything subtle right now.
