Where have all the hits gone?

Shame..Shame….Only 9 days left in September and we're only at 761 hits. What's happening? Everyone getting tired of entering notes?

I think part of it is few notes being entered. We look to be averaging about 600 entries a day over the last month. It wasn't too long ago when entries numbered 1200 to 1500 a day.

must be that some heavy entry players have slowed down on the site no longer entering their limits.

I'd imagine that everybody is all tired from summer holidays

The summer months are always slow for internet users. Now that fall is coming and kids are back in school I'll bet that the hits start coming in more. I've noticed recently that I'm getting more hits. I averaged about 2 a week all summer and now I'm getting a couple per day again. :)

the spectre of "saturation" raises its ugly head. could this be the case? with growth only occurring in areas that are not familiar with this particular site? certainly the days of exponential growth are gone (they never were sustainable) but the recent "die-back" is disconcerting.

I sent my mom some money for stuff she bought for me and the credit union in Bengough gave her a lecture… they told her I just made them unusable and the are sending them in to be destroyed…. no money yet given to her was entered by anyone else yet. Needless to say she gave me heck and told me no more marked bills were allowed to be sent to her so she doesn't get such a lecture again in front of lots of people. That doesn't help the hits any either.

Well….I used to have more money to mark because I'd mark all my hubby's money, too. But since he's taken back up with his ex-mistress, gotten a girlfriend to boot, and broke off our relationship, I no longer have access to his money.

On the up side, I also don't have to spend MY money to pay what are HIS bills. :) Too bad you can't mark our website on silver linings….

Banks don't destroy bills. Only the Bank of Canada does. If the notes are deemed to be still useable, the BoC will put them back into circulation. From what I have gathered, if a bank branch returns in too many good notes, they can be charged a service fee.

Which is why some tellers have told me that they will purposely mutilate the note to be certain that it will be rejected!

as with any game or war their are always losses and how the other side causes these losses varies. in this game we are one team and those who do not like are stamping … are the other team. What we do in some eyes is not right and they will try to cause us to fail eg. coating our new money (they tried we won with stazon) bank tellers take our bills out of the flow and we buy bills by the hundreds and add more and more marked bills to the system (they cannot catch them all) B of C put out tons of bills every day and we can only mark a few … but give us time and we will win the game. If we still have paper money to use…
