I had a complaint from my jeweler today that the bills I have given him that I have written on the back of do not go through money machines at the casino. He said that he took them to the bank to change and the teller said they are getting an increase in bills marked like this and that many machines do not accept them. I just used regular ink, nothing fancy. Is it the ink, where they are marked (in the middle of the back where there is no markings) or just having writing on the bill that is causing the problem?
I assume you mean the loonie and toonie machines or the token machines. If that is the case, I think they are doing their job. Its out of spec bill with the ink on it. Out of the norm
Those things are usually picky in the first place. I never have any luck with them. I guess they probaly get a high number of people trying to scam them
P.S. I like the comment about the high number of bills going through. I just wish they would clock them in, at least with me anyways. Imagine the amount of hits

Do you stamp or how do you mark your bills? Where do you mark them?
My boss at my old job used to say that my marked bills (stamped and written) didn't work in our cash machine. But the next day after tracking them I'd always see them come out of the atm with no problems at all! I'm sure she just didn't want me to be tracking money.

Some of mine work and some don't at Casino Regina, although I rarely play machines there anymore.
I find that if one bill doesn't work in the machine I play, I try another bill and it works. It's crazy though cause I mark mine in the same place. But, if it doesn't work at all in that machine I go find another one. Does that make sense? I guess some machines are more picky than others. Or it could be saying…don't play them…they're evil! muhaha

Those are the machines that will pay out.. they are the ones worth the trouble of getting coin & putting it in.
haha…well, what can I say! I haven't really had trouble with these machines either! I feel so weird now! Oh well I suppose
