Javascripts?

Can I use javascripts on my profile? Will it work on this site?

Would this be because the javas. was a popup or just that javas. aren't allowed on the site?

I would think that the java script could contain links to popups and it's to easy to attach viruses to them from the outside!!!! So the system would most likely block them.

Just dont use JAVA that opens new windows. I have java on mine and it doesnt seem to be a problem…

a popup window will never give you a virus unless you accept a little window like this. NEVER accept them from gator or anyother fishy company that pops up on lyrics sites, free mp3 sites, or free full version games sites.

If you download one of these. this is were most of thoes annoying, out of noware pop ups come from. To get rid of them scan your computer with Lavasoft Adaware

I get that message alot. I alway click no quickly. But that isn't a virus, it is a program I used to have that does fill out forms, but I didn't download from a window like that. I went to the gator site. Wasn't that good of a program. But some one could just put it is the Gator software when its a trojan, Virus, worm, etc.

Also, JAVA should work, but if you have NETSCAPE some scripts won't work in that browser.

ok…its spyware not a virus. it wont hurt your computer just slow it down and have those annoying popups.

thanks, I've seen gator and the problems it creates. To avoid popups I'll save code to Notepad and not have links going back to their site.

I downloaded that stupid BonZi Buddy, it ruined my whole computer, it ha no delete feature, you can barely get it to go off the screen, and all it does is say "buy my new speach feature," "Buy 100 songs for 9.99," "You are an idiot unless you purchase BonZi for non-idiots."

Totally ruined everything.

By the way, what is that program that searches for the things that are added to your computer when you download programs for market research purpose or something. I think crazydwarf mentioned it once before on the forums.

Ad-Aware. Careful though, check the files before you delete them, you might need some of them.

Ya I remember that, I downloaded it and I thought it did some good but realized later it poked holes in my Windows program. Had to redownload Windows. Gator and those other similar programs, those add-ons are just crap.

Yeah, you can't just let it delete everything. It does a good job of finding that invisible downloaded stuff that builds up over time, though.
