Notice if you take the n out of anonymous it's anoy. That bugs me when someone gives you a hit and won't give a name, and then "got it at an ATM". I want to know where my bills have been. I know people are leary when they first log on but we don't ask for their first born. Maybe we should stamp our bills "please don't log on anonymously"??? I know the B of C will say to much writing, I guess I just needed to complain about this, but how can you thank someone who won't sign on???? Thanks for letting me complain…!!!
Anytime, crazz. I just got a hit that was exactly how you described - doesn't really tell you a thing. You get all excited because you got a hit, but then it's a letdown when you actually check out the details of the hit. So then you go back and look at some of your more interesting hits and all is well again…
Changes are needed.
dr needs to recode it so that people are required to log on initially before having ANY access.
And anonymous email should be default - no NO option.
And there should also be a time limit for inactive users (with no hits) after which time they are deleted.
And this would take care of any excess of onetime users.
Is this not a good plan, guys?
These points were all debated about a year ago. The main issue is privacy. If people do not want to be sent email from this source, that is their right. If they wish to hide everything about themselves, who are we to force them to be extroverts? Right JAKE?
While I agree with the logon idea, the number of hits increased dramatically when dr allowed Anonymous to enter bills. For people with no time for this addiction, and will never logon again, it works.
As far as registered onetime users is concerned, if you drop one who gave you a hit, if the bill is hit again, where does that hit get credited? And some people DO come back. Maybe farther down the line, but for now I can't see that kind of purge.
I agree with Pooga….Besides if people are interested they will return…And take a user name…
One point I forgot to cover…
I felt the same way about comments too. But dr pointed out that maybe we should be grateful that they took the time to even enter the bill in the first place. If they're not interested in leaving a comment, or bill condition, c'est la vie!
an anonymous hit is better than no hit at all!
I will take what I can get. It would be nice to have more details about the bill though!
I'm too tired to care. Right 007?
Sure, 21. What with all that "walking" you did, you must be tired!

Hey - I'm all for the privacy thing and think things should stay as they are. I was just commiserating with crazz about hits that don't tell you a heck of a lot; however, I'm still grateful for the hit.
"who are we to force them to be extroverts?"
Yes, POOGA, just who are YOU??? and what the heck is a Pooga anyway? This is at least the 3rd time you've pestered me about leaving certain things in my profile hidden!
Anyway, you pest, I had already edited my profile before reading this forum, so there you go. Happy now?
Hey Jake, you have more bills entered than I but less hits, gotta start entering some fives!
If I enter my measly limit (35) everyday (which I do) I still will never catch up to Jake.
You're doing just fine, SherwoodParked.
Don't change anything…("snicker snicker TWIX")
I lurk in Sherwood Park, AB, land of the elusive "POOGA", a Sasquatch-like creature who stamps paper money by day and raids outhouses by night. Most people in these parts now use huge padlocks on their outhouses to deter the creature.
Wrong land. Nice to see you in the "land wide open" though!
Again, back in the archives…
Pooga - Ukrainian slang for 'ogre' or 'troll'.
Where do you find 35 to enter everyday?
True, but you've been on the site much longer than me (over a year). Soon I shall be leaving you in the dust (in a very friendly sort of way)! I just entered 100 fives and am going to see if I can get some more from the bank today. Got 3 $100 hits so far, which I'm quite proud of. Still have to get a hit on a fifty, tho.
I just love a little friendly competition - it makes things much more interesting and so, so, so addicting!
Oh well there we go, wish I was that lucky. Fives are so much fun.
Look what Ironman did this week. 950 bills. Thats at least a bundle every day. Almost 2 hours of entering bills. Crazy.
Reminds me of BobTheGreat.
That guy was cool. Whatever happened to him? I miss him.
True that friendly competition has never hurt. Seeing where Jake and 21 stand in the ranking sure makes me more determined to enter all I can. Any hit is a good hit.
Actually, I didn't get to finish my story because the "brief" only allows for 250 characters. Had to go out for a while, so now I will finish the story of the POOGA:
Some say the padlocks have completely scared off the POOGA and others have reported sightings in Saskatoon. Nobody knows for sure, but I believe it is true that the creature has indeed relocated. After all, Saskatoon has far more outhouses the Sherwood Park, largely due to the massive amounts of BS produced there.
The end.
… and by the way, Merry Ukrainian Christmas to all the Poogas out there!
