trippy_trip & I both have one to enter ya want me to fax you a copy? Pending Verification I thought we as member verified they are out there when we ask to have them entered?

Our generally accepted practice is to verify from a source other than CMT members, normally it only takes a few days but in this instance it is taking a little longer. Your patience would be and is appreciated.

When we come across new prefixes is it helpful for us to let you know the year the bill was issued, or printed, or anything like that? Would this help to verify a bill quicker?

The more information you can provide the better. However, on occasion some prefixes may take longer than usual. The site assistants use an independent site to verify prefixes and until they show up there, there may be slight delays.

I think I know the site you speak of… I have seen it in the past…
This thread brought me to a question.. as I know some serial numbers are on that ite for a while before anyone at this site comes upon them…
Since you are using that site.. why don't you add those serial numbers so we don't have to request them to be added. thus holding us up unnessessarily.

i believe it is because we are really only concerned about notes that are on THIS site. the purpose of this procedure, remember, is to ensure the integrity of THIS database – not a theoretical construct. There are already too many bogus and fictitious prefixes and serial numbers already entered – we really aim to preclude that from happening, thus the present system, which works well. the "holding up" is also "to scrutiny", as opposed to the odious inconvenience you connote.

well some of us just like to know how things work on the site as long time members we are concerned with the operation and continued running of the site. inconvienience has little to do with some of the questions asked.
