The comments say that they got this bill in the UK. Too bad there's no actual distance reading on this one.

Hopefully, we will be able to record any country that the note was entered and see the actual mileage it went. Until then, Dream about it. I do all the time!
It's unfortunate that we can't track international distances like Where's George.
We have had notes turn up in Tokyo and Australia among other places. The one I like the best was the stewardess who found a CMT note on a Britsih Airways flight from London to Johannesburg, South Africa, and was going to take it home to her parents in Nova Scotia.
At the cost of all of the necessary postal code/zipcode databases plus all of the required programming this wish could be a long way off from happening…. :o(
Not only a potential long distance note but also a HIGH flyer…. :o)

funny you should mention that – i was going for THAT particular record when i attached a stamped $5 last week to an ozonsonde which, borne by a helium filled weather balloon, routinely gets to about 35km altitude before coming down (heaven knows where). was hoping someone would find it and enter it. :)

Not really necessary. KISS!
Just designate one point in every country as our 'milepost', either the centre of the country or the capital. That would be what? About 180 more data points? Wouldn't even have to buy them; lat and long of every capital can be found at multiple websites.
And when a person enters a note outside Canada or the US, they just have to enter the country and that's it!
Not perfect, but good enough to keep it interest and entertaining.
