Thanks Sarge. Now in English
Something like Happy Eastern/Russian Orthodox Chrismas.
Are you Orthodox, Sarge?
Dourna poota! Gung hey fat choy (chinese new year)
"Are you Orthodox, Sarge?"
Actually, It's Ukrainian. The first part is used by Orthodox, Eastern Rite Catholic, and other smaller Christian denominations, meaning "Christ is born". The second part, which is "Happy New Year" in Ukrainian, is non-denominational.
How did you get to translate it on the computer?
It was just a WordPerfect Cyrillic font that I used in WP, then cut and pasted into the message box. I imagine an MS cyrillic font is identical, so if you have either on your system, it can read it. Is that about right DR, or am I trying to over-simplify this?
okay cool thanks
