dr, when a new user registers, how are the preferences set?
The one I was really wondering about was "Notify me when there's a hit on a bill I've entered". I really believe that the default on that one should be on. If a onetime user gets a a notification on a hit, it just might spur them on to learning more about what goes on here.
It should be automatic.
Also location. There's no need to know anything else. But location would help for stats.
ALSO…how do you change your info once it's first entered?
Like for instance…everyone's AGE went up a year on Jan. 1.

Seriously though… extra coding for exact birth date, with nice scrolling footer across the bottom saying "Happy Birthday today to XXXX, YYYY and ZZZZ!", exact dates to be hidden of course.
It is on by default I think (though I'll have to check to be sure).

Could you add a marquee that runs across the screen periodically throughout the day of someone's birthday?
Or maybe a birthday cake would light up beside their name when they sign in.
No one would ever know it was their birthday because it wouldn't say so on the profile.
But it would make it special and fun for us to be able to come to their "cyber party"!
And maybe we could have a HAPPY BIRTHDAY forum?

I'll third that motion!!! I'm on an other site that recognizes members BDAYS and pops up a window on the side of the screen with their name and pic if they have one!!!!!
