Well, with IDJIT's around entering 100's of bills at a time, the rest of us don't even get a shot at rolling the counter over.
Just kiddin, where do you get so many bills and please tell us you are marking them.
Welcome aboard :)

I just work in a convenience store. I just started marking bills a couple of days ago, and I can't mark all of them because I don't have time, so I'm concentrating on the larger bills, (100's 50's). I don't know if my logic is great, but if I can only mark a few bills, I'm going to mark the larger denominations thinking that folks will take better care of them and keep them circulating longer. I'm also wondering how my employer feels about me playing with his money…
Which is why a small self inking stamp would come in handy!
SARGE put in about 1000 bills before he started stamping… and not a hit that I know of.
Although in Saskatoon we have entered over 8000, so the odds of them getting hit is pretty darn good.
I got a small stamp- I'm marking them on the back on the right clear border- except for the 2001 tens, the blue stripe on the back left side is just right… I couldn't imagine marking the bills by hand. I even tried to use my laser printer but most of the bills were in rough shape and jammed. Question: do you folks mark the real ratty bills? I try to avoid 'em because I doubt they will be around long.
When I started, I had a problem marking bills too. I've got an old stamp that you can change the message on and I stamp on my personal bills with the URL.
I see alot of bills thru work too and I don't want the bank to frown on a stack of 20's marked up. So for work, I have purchased a pack of clear return address stickers, and laser printed on them "track this bill @ www.cdn-money.com", four to a sticker (yes small). On the back of all the bills I either sticker or laser print on the top right by the border. On the fronts, because tellers usually count with the heads away from them, I stick to the left side of the bill. 20's I can print in front of the signatures, because there is usually room. 50's I sticker between the signatures, and it really sticks out because it is black writing on a red bill. I sticker the same place on the 100's, but its not nearly as obvious because it is a brown bill. 5's & 10's I mark where the security seal is on the higher bills, but I usually buy these and not deposit them because I am petty cash at work.
As for ratty bills, they are usually failing on the centre fold, so I sticker them there. By taping them back together, they may stay in circulation just long enough for a hit.
Some of the really bad ones I don't stamp, but all the rest I do. 5's, old 10's and 20's on the front left corner (the 20's just to the right of the hologram). The new 10's I stamp on the front right just above the 10. 50's and 100's I stamp on the back, usually center left, as almost everyone getting one of these wants to remind themselves what's on the back. But a Mounties 50 I stamp on the front.
How quick was that??? About 2 weeks and 1000 more bills entered!! Pretty quick.. Its seems not too long ago, also, we were just passing 15,000.

I just stamp everything, upper left corner on the front.
But after seeing CIRCLE's bill, I am considering both sides.
And if the tellers 'frown', tough, it ain't like it's THEIR money!
