I need to know the law that states wheather a ripped bill is/is not legal tender and can be used or not!! I NEED IT NOW PLEASE!! Thanks!

Yes a ripped bill can be taped back together if the serial #'s are the same and both there. It is still legal tender.

No link, found out from my sister who used to work for Bank of Montreal. One of the others like Mmmbeer or Serotonin can find a link for you or check out: cdnpapermoney.com

I know of at least one time when a ripped bill was exchanged at a bank for another it was my sister. Actualy it was 3 hundreds she had for rent and her son ripped them in half. Banks will exchange bills in any condition as long as both serial numbers are intact and denomination is known.

As long as the demonination is clear, its legal. I've ripped my share of bills, but that was when I was younger.
