The server does not appear to want to update the message board either! I just went through every page in this forum looking for 6 messages that had been read but still show as unread !!LOL
I HATE MOVING!!!

Yeah that worked but until I did that they appeared to have been read. Light blue instead of dark. That may have been due to the fact that I read them early this morning and then drove my wife to work but didn't log out and when I got back I had to log in again. The conection must have timed out so the info did not update properly

dr

No, it was light blue because you read them but weren't logged in or something. The color of messages only changes by your browser becuase you have visited a link… so if you read them already but weren't logged in the browser changes the color cause you've already visited that link. The only thing the site does with unread messages is makes the text bold. And as for not updating properly… impossible as everything is updated on the fly (except for CMT scores and user levels).

The server is moving and as such, the site has moved to a temporary location. However, absolutley no CODE has changed and that means that no site functionality has been changed or lost other than the CMT score and levels being updated and the weekly reports not being mailed out.

And yes the site must have timed out papahunt…

NO! That is NOT what was causing his issues. Session timeouts to do not affect user information, it only means that they need to login again. That's it.

But I bet he read some of the messages after the timeout and this caused his messages to show as not read because he read them when he was not logged on..Is that possible???

dr

Sure, but that's nothing to do directly with having been timed out. It's an indirect result. It would have happened if he hadn't logged in and read the messages. Anyway, no matter.

TX dr and BD that clears it up. I thought the CMT scores updated the same as the user score only twice a day instead of instantly.
