Wondering?

Is it alright to just copy the numbers down on a marked bill and release them.
Then enter the numbers much later?
I enter 3 hits this morning, but I didn't actually have the bills in hand. I had the bills weeks ago…is that alight to do?

You should enter marked bills as soon as possible after you release them because if you wait to long someone else could enter them before you enter them if you wait to long..

I'm with BDK on this but I also want to stress that there is nothing wrong with what you have done – sometimes circumstances arise that require you to just spend the money and just make note of the s/n for later entry. This is taken into account, to a certain extent, on the note entry page because it lets you "backdate" (to a certain limit) when you actually came into possession of the note. Lately I have been as much as 3 months late on entering bills after spending them. And have given up on a few hits I might have gotten. I know some members entered them first and anonomous also entered atleast 8-9 which kinda looks funny after.
