I pretty much mark my bills just like you do. One on the front left top corner and the other on the back. Maybe it helps that I use a bright purple stamp. I've never marked in the margin. My stamp wouldn't fit.

Get a different phrase. Not just www.cdn-money.com.
you can always use your printer… New phrase daily.
