I'm new at this & want to know how to go about marking bills and posting them? Would be grateful for any advice!
I hope I don't come across as 'stupid' but I want to follow the rules and have fun at the same time. Hope to hear from anyone & all soon. Thanks, janphelan
I mark my bills by hand www.cdn-money.com then track this bill on line. Most have stamps, which I keep forgetting to order!! The most important thing is to remember to enter all the bills you mark (and to mark all the bills you have) If you are not near your computor at the time make sure you write down the s/n and time place etc. Then enter the minute you get home!!
Good Luck janphelan and welcome!!!
you can also use a computer printer if you have one. I think you get more hits when you use a stamp or printer. especially with my writing skills.
hey a typewriter will work if you are old enough to know what one is. LOL
they are so obsolete that I sold one with spell check, thesaurus etc for $1.00. It was almost like new. just wanted it gone from my sight! the guy was so happy! just a dollar? only $1.00? wow! ha ha
now he has the monstrosity that will not even have a collectible value for a hundred years or more.
You seem to be doing just fine, you have a hit already and you hooked a new user. Whatever you're doing keep it up, and may the hit god continue to shine upon you. Welcome!
WOW! I just got another hit! A fifty! In Ottawa! Will wonders never cease?
How do u get spell check on a typewriter?
was wondering the samething myself.
I remember some IBMs having spellcheck on them, but can't remember how they worked.
It did have some sort of memory and checked that I believe.
have word processing programs in them…even!
wow!
how prehistoric…how did the world keep from collapsing without the cursed computer…?
Back in the typewriter days, we didn't need spell checkers….
We didn't NEED spell checkers…because you were scored on how well you could type WITHOUT A MISTAKE!!!!!
So it was all up here!!!!!
Yeah! I remember that!!!! And they weren't electric!!! My school got those the year I graduated!!!
this one was electric and had a spell check program on it as well as a thesaurus and something else, dictionary probably. it was at one time considered modern top of the line new item fresh etc etc
mmmhmm, if you wanted to know how to spell a word, start flipping the pages…..
I remember those typewriters! They ran about 4 or 5 hundred I think! But the best part of school back then was going to the office to make copies for the teacher on the hand crank gestetner (I think thats how it's spelled?) and getting a buzz of the fumes!! HA! HA!
I believe they were called display writers not typewriters and they had memeory and a slot for a floppy. Thats what my wife says and she knows…
Yes, BDK, I would have to agree. I used one of those at work before they gave me a computer.
My wife remembers those as well. There was the Diplaywriter and before that, the really big companies could afford the WP32, which saved items to (gasp) 8" floppy disk!
But she also remembers using the 1974 Memory typewriter and the revolutionary AES Word Processor (sorry, no pix).
I used to have a Smith-Corona portable typewriter with a little display screen. It could hold up to three different three page documents in its memory, and view about four words at a time. It would beep if a displayed word was spelled wrong. It didn't give any options. I was happy with that, until I discovered WordPerfect v.5.0 for dos, running on an XT computer(that's older than a 286)!
I still have a tandy 8086 running dosshell with WP5 on it! LORD IS IT SLOW!!!! How did we ever get anything done!
