We arrrived in Calgary by air yesterday from Yuma via Phoenix. Today we are flying to Winnipeg for a wedding. Good to see family and freinds but I certainly know why we spend the winter in southern Arizona, Watch for my notes to be spread in Calgary, Winnipeg and Medicine Hat
What is it with the snowbirds returning at this coldest time of the year this year? The in-laws purchased a property and are on their way up as we speak. They are going to freeze up solid (-50 with the windchill right now). Bah. If I could be in Arizona I would be, not coming back here. Oh well, it'll be nice to see them for Christmas. Haven't spent it with them for years.
We stood on the corner of Portage and Main in Winnipeg this PM (coldest spot in Canada) maybe the world and wondered whey we were back here. Also long delays flying from Winnipeg to Calgary today but at least we made it. By the looks of the people in the Calgary airport tonight many will not made their destinations any time soon. Have a GREAT holiday season. By the way we came back for a wedding and we miss our children and grandchildren
