A Thought

Has there ever been a 'convention' per say or 'get together' ?

There's been a few get togethers for coffee and even a BBQ once in a while in our neck of the woods, I am not sure about elsewhere in this country

In Saskatoon we use to have regular coffee meetings and we have a provincial once a year for the last few years..It's always fun to meet and chat with other trackers…

why have the coffee meetings stopped in Saskatoon? Like BDK said they were fun.

I think we over indulged. If you recall we were have coffee meetings every week, and it seems it came to an abrupt halt. It may be time to try and resurrect a coffee meeting that is held every month or so (say 1st Monday of the month or something like that). Just a thought.

yes those 5 t0 6 member coffee meetings were good and i would like to see them again. let me know when and where.

They where very special indeed, you got to have a sugar high first thing in the morning and i dont mean the sugar in my JD either, unless we spiked are coffee and that would never happen on my watch.~grin
For us none morning people it was a reason to get our butt out of bed and share in our passion to track bank notes, and have a lot of fun.

…and then there were the "gatherings", where we would meet for supper and have a lot of laughs- I even travelled to Regina once for one. Does anyone remember 'Liverfest', or the great napkin munch at a certain 33rd street restaurant, or the Pizza Hut muggings?

…. but did we ever get to throw pie in the face of the manger at those???
and they never had a certain brand of beer for some reason.
Other than that- I agree they was the best.

I recall that beer issue, that was a real shame even though a certain ex-manager tried to have some available. Something to do with supplier rights or something…..

talking about the old manager I started to wondering if he is still alive with the recent stock slump. He has survived and did visit this week after being away for 17 months.

I do remember reading about the mugging on Pooga 's profile page. I thought it was funny, reading all of the descriptions on the hits

Thanks for the reminder, Idjit. I was trying hard to forget about the napkin munch! Never been back to that restaurant! And what ever happened to the trophy I started?
