I remember joining this site just before Christmas as Idjit in all his splendor handed me my change at his store with three fives all bearing his red round stamp. I had seen the site stamped on other bills but never bothered to check the site out until I had these three big round dollar signs bouncing off the fives. And so my adventure began … I entered the bills and was hooked two of the members contacted me and invited me to a evening meeting where idjit received a reward and I got to meet a member from the dark side Nelson (what a guy). Pooga stood up at the table and told me my name was toooooooo long and from now on I would be know as BC … what the heck he was one of the leaders of the pack so the short version stuck. I got to meet many members that night and had a good time , I attended many meetings after that one until these meeting faded away. Over the years I have got to meet many of the local members and talked to many over the computer some of us have gone our seperate ways and I am truly sorry we have not remained friends. Over the first few years I ruffled my share of feathers on the site (took me a while to grasp what some other members views on the site were(are) I now understand those views and respect them as they are. I have always wanted only the best for the site and after many years have settled into a slower pace(for me) I no longer enter my limit daily nor do I write down every bill that passes through my hands if the bill is not marked I still spend it and send it on without feeling I have done wrong. What consumed far to many hours a day of my time is now sometimes left for days with a visit. I try to visit every day but it is not the death of me if I miss a day or two. This site has given me a few friends and I am happy they are around. I miss the evening meetings and the coffee club days gone by. Today if I ran across a few members in Regina I would gladly shake their hand and offer to buy coffee … I guess you could say I have mellowed. Names that have passed and now are seldom seen … Maggiemae a wonderful women moved to BC and not heard from since Nov. 16 2006, Jerbear who did my picture on site was a great guy but drifted away June 7 2007, and the names go on and on Jake the drifter a fine women who was on the top of the hill and then went M.I.A. for a while which caused me concern and then came back for a short time (set my mind to rest) and then left again Aug. 1 2008 and a rising tar that I thought was going to run me over and reach the top of the hill in both bills entered and points PUK PUK G who for some reason ran out of gas April 21 2008 there are many others Saucy-eye , Honeybabe, Kilrcat88, and Redmax1 to name a few who have moved on or have slowed right down. From teams to dinner meetings to coffee club meetings things that no longer happen on the site… makes me sad that these areas have been lost and all that is left seems to be follow the money…does that mean the site has gone full circle as in the start, was that not what DR. intented it to be (aside from his computer program test). Okay for those of you who have made it to the end of another BC rant … I will put away the soap box one more time and be done. Okay you old timers you remember when I used that soapbox almost weekly so I think using it as seldom as I do now is ok.
Holly crap went a whole rant and not one poke at Rudy K. I must have mellowed.
