going downhill

well this site peaked with hits in 2006 and has been going downhill ever since. hits are dropping at an alarming rate viewing the stats page. i wonder how we could rejuvinate our hit ratio.

What are the posible causes??
General public getting used to seeing stamped bills?
Bank of Canada destroying more marked bills?
Less & less cash being used?
Less bills entered?
I still see lots of people who seem to have trouble finding the "add note" button, but if anything the site has got better since then.
Hit ratios, thats anouther topic, they range from 25% to .02%.

I paid for my rent in cash as always… this time I hand wrote them and one of the office girls used a black marker and crossed out the Addy and all of my bills. She told me its the only way the bank would take them. She said my stamp wouldn't have gotten blacked out because the size used.

Talk to Idjit. He will offer to give the girls, and the bank, a lesson on what is and isn't allowed with respect to marked banknotes.

Several of my HITs have come from people who received the notes from a bank teller or ATM.

you ought to tell those gals to stop defacing the banknotes – they could get into trouble.

Isn't 2006 about the time the Bank started issuing the coated $5 notes? I know my output has greatly reduced since then. (Guess I'll switch to $10's)

Only problem is that the new $10 notes are coated as well. The other day I got a few new $20 note and I suspect that they may be coated as well.

Well my midnight run to shoppers had me talking about the site with the pharmacist there. He was pretty cool and asked if I tracked them, my youngest who tracks told him its not only fun but it helped her learn her map of places in Canada. So she said he'd have to check it out. When he gives me change he notices another marked bill. He asked if it was mine a said no but it is another site that also does the same so I'd enter it on 'where's willy' and see where it went there. He asked if anyone could join so I told him to come and check it out.
As for tourgurl being out late she needed meds as she had a bad allergy attack, and she did make school today.
