saskatoon coffee meeting

Well, the usual suspects were in attendance again, in order of arrival: Pooga, Dr JD, Sarge, CJ, and after a wakeup call, BC. Such a dedicated user, fell asleep while poking around the site! Something was mentioned about not drinking and mousing.

After brief discussion, it was decided that the Provincial would be at Craik. Rosthern was bounced around as an alternative location, but he private bocce court at Craik has so many points, that any other park would have to be spectacular to drag us from there. Also, Craik being quieter, we decided that Rosthern may to be full of campers (people, not vehicles) that it would be safer to bandie our balls in relative privacy.

If anyone is in the provincial parks this summer and has suggestions for next year, please note how busy the park is, if there is an adequate area for a bocce court and if there is a cook house or equivalent shelter for the shower that will arrive after we start the bocce game. I swear we are better than rain dancers for attracting moisture.

Other discussions ran from beer, to mowing, drinking and not drinking beer while mowing, to the chain of command and how you don't go around it, back to beer. I guess the warm weather must be here, for the number people that don't drink much at the table there was a lot of discussion about beer.

If you are coming to the Provincial Gathering, I will start another topic for that.

If you need a metal bed frame, contact BC.

And Pooga was very excited telling us about his new can packer.

Great job CJ!!!!… with all the talk about beer this morning you would think we all had red eyes for breakfast and not orange juice and coffee and a nice assortment of muffins and donuts curiosity of CJ
Make note of that CJ next time we will have Red Eyes, for some of us because lack of sleep. ~grin

thank you for your wonderful supply of sweets cj as a tribute to your kind offer i had one of each. our keeper of the minutes forgot to mention when and where our next meeting of the coffee club will be? beer is pooga's life work so of course we will always touch on that subject. my red eyes have to do with long hours of work to catch up after such a poor weather may. early to rise and late to bed makes bc a tired guy. and yes i will admit i fell asleep at the keyboard … that is until jd gave me a call to get my butt going. now for those who know us that is a real switch as jd is a night person and does not like to do am's the monthly coffee meeting is about the only time i hear from him before 11. yes jd i know 1100 hours is still am (barely) but still am. i will not be going to the craig event but have charcoal if you need it let me know and i will give it to the cause.
