re: NOT interested in the press?

In case anyone missed my buried post, I've reposted it here at the top of the list… just want everyone who fairly new to understnad how we wrk around here. :)

On certain things I DO speak for everyone. And one of those things is press… this website sits on a server that is used for other things, and this site makes use of some un-used bandwidth. However, if suddenly we get four b-zillion people coming to the site to check it out, well that means we're probably gonna use up the available bandwidth and then the site starts to cost real money. And that means that I need to find money somewhere or shut down the site. It's as simple as that. And for the most part everyone else around here agrees with my stance on slow, controlled growth.

Thanks dr I for one did not completely understand! FOR SHAME!! Now I know what you mean. You want the site to grow as new people log in and give us hits and if they stay then well and good. But if they don't come back it will be to bad for them.

yeah good answer, i dont think the forum would be fun when every day you have 123534 messages to read.

Just to protect myself on my linked post from there, that was a year ago. I had been part of the site for 3 weeks, and didn't know anyting. I am now way smarter, site-wise, and know that my post is wrong.
