my countdown...

sounds like retirement to me too. Six and a half years is a bit early to start counting though, I never started counting my working days until two years from my retirement day. Seems like it took forever to get here, and when it did, I sure was happy!

KrisE

Ya bunch of old farts…lol
I have so many days left I can't even imagine how long I have.

rudyk

nah…. even if i would ever retire, it's a lot longer off than that! (and who would ever retire from a cushy job like mine where all i've got to do is put my feet up in a cozy office, poison your children's minds and take sabbaticals every few years… work… work… work… work…

2416 days and counting…

Pooga

Well if it's not retirement, it might be…

Tenure
Significant birthday
Significant anniversary
Next sabbatical
Mortgage burning day
CSB comes due

Or it could be something more obscure and impossible to guess… At any rate you have use wondering. Will you tell us what is the importance of October 8th 2017..I believe that to be the date in question….

rudyks countdown seems bogus.
Vary obscure and impossible to guess, let alone figure out what day it points to.
My guess it is 10 years of trying to drive BANKCOLLECTOR crazy.
Im going to let rudy curl his toes, I got a real countdown going.

rudyk

query… what makes a countdown "real"?… or any less worthy with which to fill up a forum?…

ob enumeration: 2414… tick tick tick…

rudyk

ob enumeration - an homage to the old usenet discussion newsgroups where you posted something that was largely off-topic but was in reply to someone else's off-topic post, you would usually include something that was, by obligation, related to the forum or discussion. "ob" was usually read as "Obligatory" and the rest of the phrase related to what was germane. here, i have posted a quantitative measure that is clearly an "enumeration" (literally) of the number of days left in my countdown, thus meeting, however obliquely, the requirement to stay on topic. [sigh] the internet USED to have conventions…. :)

I haven't had too much experience with the health system anywhere(luckily ;) ) but that would be sad if that were the case

BANKCOLLECTOR

it started out as a low key countdown with two members on the site with sign up dates just days away and 5 years apart … then along came another member with his obscure addition. That is when I threw up my hands and walked away.
