That's interesting. Did you note the printing year on the note? That is WELL ahead of all currently-known $10 prefixes (the most recent being a Printed in 2008 BFH).

Nope it was 1 I had to spend without marking, so I wrote the serial # down. I double checked my scap paper note, & I wrote BFZ, the F is not a E or a P, & the bill was only fine or veryfine, so I dont think it was new.
Must be just a mistake on my part.

BTZ might be a little more likely… They've been trickling into circulation for the last few months and there are still lots left to come out. There are also a ton of BEZ still floating around.

I'm not ruling out the possibility that this is indeed a BFZ note… Just seems rather odd to be out this early. The well circulated nature of the note also indicates it's an older prefix.

BWJM… any time you want to weigh in on these matters you are MORE than welcome – your expertise is prodigious. :) it also proves that not only misery, but scepticism loves company…

clearly, it may be a while before this one gets added to the database, but we will apply our usual modus – if scans are available, they are welcome!

haha - Not trying to be a skeptic in particular, but rather trying to rationalize the report. As with any new prefix that isn't backed up by a scan, there's always some doubt about its authenticity, even if I posted it.

BTW: "Prodigious" is a rather exalted term… Perhaps something like "broad" would be a little more humble. (Not that I don't appreciate the compliment!)
