version 2.1.2

I will be deploying the new version at some point today. This is for the most part a minor maintenance release, though there are a couple of new things, such as the ability to view an entire message thread from the search forum page. I've also created a tool to make it easier for me to manually enter old bills for you all, so I will finally be going through the 40 or so requests to manually enter bills.

As per normal, if you notice any problems, please email me directly rather than posting on the forum, as the forum should really be for discussing comments and suggestions rather than 45 messages about how the add bill isn't working for each of you. :)

And finally, for those who are interested, this is the 26th public release that I've done for this site. Crazy, eh?

It says on whats new that you can view a whole thred of messages at once. How can this be done?

Check the what's new more closely; from the search results page.

I can't see the button in which allows us to do so..

That would be this button: Forum Search. After you find the thread there is another button at the bottom of that posting: view entire thread:

yah I know that part, but a suggestion for later would be able to view or check all the messages on one page for a thred instead of having to click them all.

That would be good.

What do you think that [+] symbol is beside each message subject… you know, the [+] that is mentioned in the what's new page….

from the What's New page –> "added [+] to forum search results to allow viewing of the full thread"

Sounds like you're heading for a stroke!
Why do I have to do a Forum Search which takes me OUT of the Forum and chances are I didn't pay attention to the NAME of the thread and so then I have to go back and check and then go back and search and it is totally faster to just read the whole d*** thread in the first place.

Why could you not instead put your cute little + signs IN the Forums beside each main message which would collapse all the threads and make the Forums much roomier and user-friendly?

I haven't used the forum search much but when I searched for entry limits in your messages it worked great. Sometimes you have to see the full forum to remember what the thread (or part of the thread) was about.

Now I read your message above again and are you asking us if we like the [+] symbol or if we know what it does?

If it's the former, I like it.

1. Thanks for your useless and unsolicited medical opinion, but I'm in fine shape.

2. The forum search is for searching for messages that contain certain content, so that you can easily find a message about "radar bills," for example, whether it was from yesterday or two years ago. You don't have to, nor should you use it to read the current unread messages.

3. Because it's more hassle than it's worth; plus the forums are fine in terms of space and user-friendliness as it is. Not to mention that each time a thread was expanded or collaped, the whole page would have to be refreshed so why not just scroll through the forums as we do now?

4. I advise you to chill out and not take that "tone" with me. People that are nice and make friendly suggestions get their way far more often than those who are harsh and demanding or those who act like big cry-babies. I could always bump you down to the level of permanant newbie if you'd like.

5. Finally, this is the end of this thread for me. Post your reply if you like but I don't have time to justify my development decisions.
