Edmonton is actually no longer the city of champions since they left…nasty champions, who needs em anyway.

We are now "Edmonton - Host City to the World" because of the games and because of the Mall.

But the Mall of America is doubling in size sometime soon.

Man, I hate that Mall. I avoid it at all costs

WEM can go no further unless it buys up residential.
It stretches from 170 St to 178 St
and 87 Ave to 91 Ave
and has the world's largest parking lot. lol
WEM has plans for expansion upwards.
An office tower and apartment towers.

I've been to that mall. Spent 2 days there. Very big, and very nice. Makes the local mall in Nanaimo look like a little corner store.

I needed to hear some nice words about the crappy city I HAVE to call home.

I worked at the mall for a year, after spending so much time there, it's just a mall.

It's all geared up to impress stupid tourists that have never seen a dolphin in their lives before.
Or ridden underwater in a submarine and seen sharks and tropical fish up close.
And a giant sea turtle.
And penguins.
Or the biggest oldest Rainbow trout.
And you wanna see him cuz he's so UGLY!
Or played golf.
Or swam in a beachlike waterpark with BIG waves and giant waterslides.
Or enjoyed the HUGE, new Asian grocery in "Chinatown".
Or shopped their brains out at any store they could possibly want.
Except Wal-Mart.

Yeah, better enjoy it because, as taxpayers, we paid for most of it…

<ive been there about 4 times and its not that good, Its so big, i counted 6 skateboard shops-> that was good and the rest is not bad. Eatons centre in toronto is better.

I've been to both. Eaton Centre is boring compared to WEM. You can spend a full day there and still not see everything. Eaton Centre, on the other hand, I sometimes feared for my life and wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.

Actually, that pretty much sums up Toronto as well. If I'm travelling, I'll spend a day in T.O., but I'll leave town before I have to spend the night there.

I spent 2 days in WEM (dawn to dusk, literaly), and still didn't see everything. But it has everything I would want. Even got a pile of coin stores, something most malls don't.

…and a fire breathing dragon at the movies!! it's hot even it you're standing way back from it!

Now the Fire Breathing Dragon is something to see. It's the only thing I like to take out of town friend or family to.

Lol, in Edmonton, just as entering the city from the south it says, "In Edmonton, Red means Stop," Lol.

But then again, maybe it does.
