HI All,
I'm interested in how long, on average, people have waited from the time they enter a bill until they get a hit.
My first bill was entered some time ago and I have not had a hit.
I'm starting to remember to enter my bills more (actually exceeded my daily limit, so waiting patiently to enter a few more) so maybe that will help.
There is no standard time really… the more notes you mark and enter the better the chance someone will find it and be curious enough to enter it..Try to enter your limit daily..
Hey I got an Idea , take a drive south for an hour, & stop at my place, & give me one of your bills as a gift, (a $100, would be cool, but I'l take anything!) I promise I will give you a hit on it.

Sounds like a great plan… for one of us!
I'm trying to be diligent and get my limit increased so I can enter more than 5 bills a day. I'll look forward to that.
How's the weather in Quesnel?
Probably simillar to Prince, Sunny With clouds, & cooool wind.
Enter your limit ever day & you will be up to 25 bills a day in no time.

The hit gods are strange and unpredictalbe. I was fortunate, back in the spring of 2005 when I joined this site to get my first hit 8 days after entering my first note, having entered a total of only 69 notes. That summer I twice went 22 days without a hit and considered them droughts. This past winter, late in 2009 after having over 10,000 notes in circulation I went a full 30 days without a hit then settled back to my usual 7 or 8 a month. Anyway my advice: enter the max number of notes as long as you can and eventually the hits MAY start coming GOOD LUCK
We have had this discussion before, and if memory serves, we even had some people online close to a year before their first hit.
Patience Grasshopper pwrengine!
(Hmmm… power engineer???? Like at a brewery? Or other food manufacturer??)
I keep seeing a Dodge Power Wagon in my mind when I read "pwrengine" .
The main thing is to see the 'Power' part. I think this is the first time that someone has actually put it together with Power Engineering though. Except on sites that are geared towards that field..
I did NOT even catch that and I still have a 2nd Class permit in Alberta, though have been retired for 4 years.
I suggested it because I have to deal with them on a daily, nay, hourly basis!
More steam Scotty!
I will venture into this talk (thread) and post my humble opinion. After entering a few bills here with no less than 18 different stamps some on the serial side only and some on both sides in red blue green and black with various themes on the stamps and different sizes. I suggest the use of one theme stamp like the one used by Idjit. KISS (keep it simple stupid) is the best idea. if your stamp is to large or involved it just ticks people off snd gets pulled at the bank. It also makes auto bill readers reject them. I now carry a mix of both marked and unmarked money as I use bill readers many times a week. My accountant would rather I use credit cards but have not strolled that far away from tracking to go back to non cash function. I average a few hits per week even after cutting my entries to next to nothing. Some members have very high hit ratio because of where they live and spend their marked money. I use to know where many trackers worked and aided there business by going to those locations to buy items I used on a weekly basis. I did not think of this as planting bills but as giving a fellow tracker my business. Since I have levelled off in tracking (no longer enter my limit every day … like I use to) (now I am lucky if I enter my one day limit in a month). Select a stamp that is special but not overboard and hard to read and go with that. Red is a good colour as seems to sneak by bill readers and draws some extra attention. Remember that Saskatton and Saskatchewan has many many trackers so marked bills in those areas will be entered more than other areas of Canada. Good luck to all trackers may the hits roll on. Seems the only time I come on site anymore is when I get a hit notification.
At least we're all easy to get along with… ;-)
