I always cash my cheque then go pay my rent and bills in cash. Always have and always will. This time when I cashed my cheque I watched the teller pull out 3 marked twenties from my change. When I asked her to leave them in she said she was not allowed to. She said they are supposed to remove them as soon as they come in. Kinda sucks… 3 lost hits for people.
The branch I go to does not do that. I am guessing it is branch specific.
No idea it was just disheartening seeing marked bills and not being able to grab them and enter them :(
CIBC has signs up all over their branches saying that if you are not 100% satisfied with their service you should tell them before leaving the bank. I would have taken the opportunity to let them know in no uncertain terms that what she did was NOT "customer service".
I never even thought of that Rudy. Next time I will. Now when are you coming to town for courage when I go in hehe.
