My team placed 20/20. I got 82/84. But when you think of it, thats not 82/84, its 82/10,000(app. # of gr. 9's in BC). And something that was weird looking to me and my friends was that they were all Asian. Only 14 non-Asian. We were the only non-Asian team.
Now, money wise…
Spent 10 bills. My friend actually had 2 fives, and was interested, but she had to spend them to get home. But still, I spent them at busy places, and the tellers always looked at them. In fact, as SportCheck, the teller put them under the UV light. On the ferry home, I got 80 quarters (4 fives), only stopping because I ran out of 86 fives and it wouln't accept 2002 ones or loonies. No hits so far, but I've only been home for 10 hours. Just got to give it time.
Well at least you made it there! Interesting report I had the same problem at a parking lot at the hospital! The machine would not take new fives!
The VLT's at the casino will not accept new fives either…
Hey, I was just in Vancouver too… Well, Surrey to be more acurate. I was at a Canadian Alliance Election Readiness forum. It was good, no it was great. Small world though eh Kaiser?
Ya, I was in Burnaby all night. Spent Friday-Saturday night in Langley. Never went to Surrey, though. Second time that we've been within 25kms of each other, that we know of.
Around here, (manitoba), some atm's will not accept some new 10's… we've noticed it depends on the three first letters of the bills. Some work, and others don't. The older ones have no problems.
I work in an automated parking lot in downtown Toronto. All machines (I help people use them).I can tell you that the software can only understand bills that have been programed. Also the new 5's were about 1/16th shorter so machines rejected them. Also these machines don't like new bills prefer bills that are worn a little. these machines are also particular about how you enter the bills you have to keep them close to the left side. The bank of canada keeps changing the curency, thats the problem. Too many enconsistencies in the cash makes it tough for all machines handeling money.
Thanks for that information Virgo!
It'll help me alot.
Thanks.
