Just a heads up. Notice in news today re: counterfeit in the Edmonton area. Especially, the following: 1989 series $10-BEG5311668;2001 series $10-FDT7172112,FDU5144635; 1991 series $20-AAL0268020,VAY8298027,VVL0298026,LVE1298686; and others which I'll post tomorrow.
We were warned about 50's and 100's in Saskatoon. Aparently they look good except the security box can be rubbed off. No series were given.
Also, 1988 series: $50- FHU2721807;1988 $100 series: BJH7094838;1975 series:$100-KA3824151
There are also some bad 50s in Saskatoon. I didn't get the serial numbers, but they're pretty poor. The size is a little different, and it's 2 pieces of paper glued together!
Did you know that Canon Colour photocopiers have a 'protection' scheme built-in that puts an invisible mark an all copies? This allows authorities to track a specific machine if it is used for illeitimate purposes, like counterfeiting.
Didn't know. Most of my peripherals are Canon.
When I get a chance, I'll do a query of the DB and see if any similar series have passed through this site (if anyone is curious)…

I would like to know… One thing is funny though, series like VVL and Vat dont even exist in 1991 series 20's!

either a typo in the journal or they weren't very clever.
Maybe the culprits changed some seriel numbers and thought they were clever..
