Read the FAQs in the Help section. If that takes too much effort, try this:

Canadian Money Tracker is a fairly straight forward website. The concepts, for the most part, should be quite simple to grasp. In a nutshell, the site tracks money (bills) and where that money has been and who's been in possession of it. When someone re-enters a bill that you've already entered, that's called a 'hit.' The hit might be in the same city, the same province or on the other side of this great country. Enter in bills that you come into possession of and find out where they've been and where they went.

Simple, and it sounds silly, no? But it is utterly addicting, especially once you get your first hit.
