Heh, I wasn't gonna mention this but, I couldn't resist. Anyone who wants to see a crappy picture of me can check out the latest Maclean's issue (Dec 3rd, 2001) as my business partner and I are in a special section paid for by the BDC (Business Development Bank of Canada) representing our company, Bitonic Solutions. Of course, one of the main reasons I am able to run this site is because Bitonic is such a great company so I guess it deserves to be blatently mentioned here. :)
So check it out if you like… it's my 3 milliseconds of fame. :)

P.S. I think I pulled an all-night coding session the night before this picture was taken. Oh well.
So, did you plug cdn-money.com during the interview?
Unfortunately not. But I think I like the way we are growing from the inside out, rather than from the outside in (in a manner of speaking).

Well, last night after I saw your message, DR, I ran to the living room and picked up the MacLeans and there you were! Interesting to see your photo after reading all your posts!
Hey DR,
Picked up the Maclean's on the ferry on my way to Nanaimo this afternoon. Great pic!
Great pic!
Well, I'm not sure that's the case but it certainly is kinda cool to be in Maclean's. But thanks!

I saw your photo in the local public library. You look very bright.
You look very bright.
heh, thanks. Again, I'm not sure that's the case, but I try my best. :)

I picked up the issue, saw the cover, and wondered just what else are you up to. But saw you on the inside. Good pix.
wondered just what else are you up to
Heh, ya, they picked a great issue to put us in, eh? :)

Good haircut too…your CSM must be proud.
your CSM must be proud
Ya, except that in the Armoured Corps, he is called the SSM (Squadron Sergeant-Major).
-dr
I've worked with the guns before, and know they call them Troop Sergeant-Majors. I knew Armoured was different yet, but I wasn't sure of the proper title. BTW, my RSM is an ex-Sask Dragoon, so I really should have known…
I was in the Navy. I think they were called petty officers there.
And I'm in a union. We call them Charge Hands.
I'm not sure why (perhaps because I read this so early in the morning), but I found this thread to be incredibly funny. :)
POOGA; why are you in the union? Aren't you the boss?
-dr
POOGA's union thing is an expression of true Marxism…the workers REALLY DO own the means of production!
I find this thread amusing also. It's called cognitive slippage, like James Joyce.
it's called cognitive slippage
I just call it related mental wandering. And what kind guy would walk around with a name like Joyce?
Marx said 'control the means of production'. 'Own' is more 21st century.
Doesnt matter if it's first, last or middle name.
It's STILL a girlie name.
Besides, he was Irish and drank a lot.
he was Irish and drank a lot
Isn't that redundant?
It sure is. A tautology. My party genes are Irish.
