Are promotions still working?

I'm kind of wondering that myself.

Has ANYBODY received a promotion in the last month?

Aren't they normally handled by the website, ie in the program that runs the website

Fordjae has been entering his/her limit for a month and has not gotten a PROMOTION.

I haven't got a promotion for over a year, but I have kinda topped out at a average of 5-10 bills a day.

But it is the situation with Fordjae that has me wondering if something is wrong with the site.
I don't know the formula used, but he should have had a few promotions by now, unless the fact that he has been a member for 6+ years before he started entering his own bills is working to his disadvantage?

I don't think being a member for a long time is a disadvantage..Notes entered and curent activity is the key I do believe…

Fordjae has been faithfully entering his limit every day for 33 days. He also has posted messages and got & gave hits during this time.

I think the site is broken. I haven't received a promotion either.

It's a tough time for the website as Pooga seems to be the last site assistant standing for now……..

Talk to schnits. I can see him being interested in assisting.

Concur. I just got my stamps. I need this site to stick around. Something must be done!

I believe that the site is already unravelling…and has been for some time.

The question now is this: Is there anyone left who has enough power and know how, coupled with enough interest in seeing the site continue on, to actually reverse the downward spiral on which the Canadian Money Tracker seems to be?

Without some attention, I believe the site's demise is just around the corner so to speak.

I would expect that even in the money tracking business, sites probably come and go; so, the important thing to remember here is that, if CMT goes belly-up, there ARE alternatives.

It's not my intent to try to promote one over another; but, it might be helpful, especially for newer trackers, if those involved in other sites could mention the name of the site [you've used] and a comment or two about that site's strengths. Then, if things don't improve here, everyone has enough info. at their fingertips to make some sort of informed decision and can continue the fun of money tracking from elsewhere. Believe me, there IS life beyond CMT…!

I'm nowhere near ready to abandon ship. I think if we come up with a strategy to attract one or two new young site assistants (including a new webmaster), as well as getting many newbies stamping regularly (could we get a bulk discount on stamps from Rose?), we could foreseeable stay "profitable" well into the future.

Step one is getting promotions working again. I don't know who has the power to do this, but someone needs to do it NOW.

I am willing to work with schnits, and anyone else who's interested, to draft a formal restructuring policy, and present it in the new year.

As far as I am concerned this is still the best money tracking site available and I hope it continues to reign…

I think this is the best site as well!
The problem is we need to KEEP it that way!
Im on all 4 sites, but only enter STEALTHs at the others (WW,WHIB,FYC), as wel as any bills marked with those websites.
Other sites drawbacks;
All my bills are marked here!
Wheres Willy = American, only 7 status updates a week.
Where Have I Been = annoying pop-up ad pages & advertising, unreliable login at times, stats haven't been working all year.
Follow Your Cash = nice site, Can't enter a bill anonymously, too new not enough members, no working forums.

A few more site assistants, & a webmaster assistant, would go a long way to remedying the problems here.

One thing we all have to remember is that this is DR's site and he will run it as he see's fit. Some time ago he made a few reliable users site administrators, which has taken a lot of the load away from Dr…however..it is still his site. Things may not be running as smooth as they should, but Dr has a handle on things…even if it seems to take a long time for him to get at it. Have faith all you new users…and all you old timers……keep the force going with you. It will come back to the way it was a few years ago with lots of new users and loads of hits coming every day. The system just got overloaded….like everyone was worried about….and soon it will become underloaded and we will all relish the hits as fast as new users can register and enter them……Keep the faith trackers…..keep the faith!
