Unmarked bills / hits

Has anyone gotten any hits from bills which were not marked with the website? How frequent do you get this to happen?

Stealth hits…

Yeah there have been a few, but they are very rare. The most common ones occur when there are several users in one location, like Saskatoon.

But if you want to have any kind of success in tracking, it is advisable to mark your bill with a small saying of some kind, preferably on both sides. Too small, and it won't be noticed. Too big and it may be considered defaced and pulled from circulation.

Remember that it is not illegal to mark bills! So if you do get any kind of hassle from a bank, have them call:

Businesses can refuse legal tender, so it's best to not argue, leave, and take your business with you.

Hi. I am from Whereswilly.com. I've hit two unmarked bills. One started in Winnipeg, and made it's way to Prince Albert, Sk after only 29 days. The other was one my friend wrote down the number for in his till at Petro Can where he works. He entered those bills, because he knows I enter bills. Well anyways. I was entering bills that my mom received as change earlier that day, and I hit one of his bills. Crazy.

I entered hundreds, and I mean hundreds of unmarked bills before I understood what was going on here, and as far as I know, not one single hit from all these 'ghost' bills. I was checking the other day to see if there was ever a hit on these bills, and it brought tears to my eyes…sniff, sniff…:(

Are there any hit per number of bills, marked and unmarked, stats?

I have gotten a stealth hit before.. I think because it was my 3rd bill entered. I never stamped back than. I think the person entered mine with another users stamped bill.. Longest sleeper of mine too

Well being half asleep this morning I spent a 20 that I forgot to mark! I entered it and added it to my favorites to see what happens!

When I know that I can't mark a bill, I say that in the comments. But not all of my unmarked bills are known.
