Just wondering. I never asked last night. How many people threw in 5? And…. is this Super 7 only between people at the meeting, or did other people mail in money? If we win let's say 10 bucks do you just throw it into more tickets? When is the draw?

I’ll let everyone know the results after the draw. If our winnings work out to more than $50.00 per person, people have the option to take their money and run. But they would still be in the game for free plays earned on that particular batch of tickets.

NOTE: Once AGAIN, BD attended the meeting driving a different vehicle. We wonder where he gets his money. Must be kickbacks from the inmates!

I wasn't going to chip in, but then Idjit said to someone. Oh man you better chip in. You'd be looking if we won and you never chipped in. So… 5 bucks is 5 bucks. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I hadn't took part.

a friend of mine and i use to chip in a buck every noon hour and we use to buy those football scratches. when those stoopid loonies came out, i could never get use of them.. Anyway, one dinner i said, "i'll skip today, i forgot to bring some $$"… she buys a ticket on her own.. and she wins 20 thousand… i just happened to have dumped my purse.. and at the bottom of my purse was a darn loonie!!!!!!!!!

My brother in law was in a group that use to buy the $10.00 tickets..There were five of them…One week he took a pass cause he didn't have two bucks on him and wouldn't you know it the other four won the $1,000,000.00 jackpot..And I know that hurt…..

In the cases where people go together and buy in every week, I would think that the others would still give the person something even though they might not have bought in that week. I mean,that's what I would do anyway. Even just $100 or something. For example, lets say we(as a saskatoon group) pitched in $5 for every draw over the course of 6 months or something. If Pooga just happened to not put in for the last draw that won us a couple million, I think the group would still decide to give him something at least for his dedication…..or would we guys? ;P

The sad part is my brother in law was specifically asked and he was offered to be in and pay up on monday and he still declined…That means he is not in…To bad so sad…
But those are the chances we take……
If someone is always in and always pays up the group usually carries them if they have not had a chance to yea or nay…

Well, I was happy for her. Is she still my friend today? Yeah she is.

My parents have the lottery store here, and Mom sold alot of winning tickets.. Anything over 1000.00, the store doesnt get squat. Mom sold one ticket worth 1.5 million. She didnt even get a cup of coffee. Not that she was expecting anything, but I think if I won that much, I think I would have splurged and bought her a mocha :)

That's interesting, I always thought they didn't getting anything unless it was a big win. What a cheap lottery. You'd think that the place that sold the winning number would get something!!! I agree, also if someone played with the same group, or person on a regular basis, and if for some reason the other didn't have the payment that particular day, for whatever reason, the others would carry him/her for one day. Really, thats only fair. What about the lady in B.C. that just won 22 million, she put all her co-workers as partners because they were all facing layoffs. And MissBeeHaven, I'm glad your still friends, but if that was you that won "alone" because she didn't have the dollar that day, is that what you would have done??? I don't know but money really changes people, well some people!!

In earlier posts, someone had marked "if it was a ongoing thing, and because you didnt have a buck that day, split".. I had been asked that question many times "what would I have done?" I would have split. However, it's easy for me to say, because I never won. We did continue the double loonie deal for a few years after that until we moved away.

For retailers who sell tickets… they do make some cents per ticket that they sell… however, on the draws like 6/49, they make 1% of the winnings… and the cap of the winnings is 1000.00. So on 1000.00 $, the retailer gets a whopping 10.00 (not even enuf for a pack of smokes)
