Well here is my opinion on these new notes I find them a pain to use. One they stick together far to easy and who wants to give away an extra 100 because they are stuck together. Two they do not work at the casinos, yet they still pay you with them when you win a jackpot. The marking of these bills is in vain as they are not yet into the system so cannot be entered or tracked. I have not yet tried to tear one in half as doing that to a hundred dollar bill hurts just at the thought. Nor have I tried the heat test or the freeze test yet and the washing machine and dryer tests have yet to be done. Now these test will overtime be done as we are curious and long for information I am sure someone in the test labs have been paid a good sum of money to do these types of tests and report on them but of course that information will not be made public. So to sum it up one more time in my opinion these new bills are crap. I have gone in the other direction as most non trackers do and ordered my plastic cards to charge my purchases and then will pay those bills on line and my payroll is now becomeing direct deposit so I will seldom touch real money anymore except when I visit the casino (or ya I plan to quit my gambling ) so I guess I am joining the cashless world. Someting I thought would never happen.
I am sorry to hear you will be joining the cashless crew….
I'm not terribly fond of them either, but there's no need to panic so soon and they're not all bad. In time we will get accustomed to them and cash in any form is more convenient than debit or credit. The paper bills will be with us for awhile longer, so you can EMS them to your heart's content and forget about the larger denominations for now.
The marking of these bills is in vain as they are not yet into the system so cannot be entered or tracked.
I don't see this as a criticism of the new bills; this is, simply put, a short-coming of the site.
I was at Casino Regina the other night and was going to give them crap about machines not accepting them. Thought I better try one first and low and behold, it took it. Only had one on me so never tried another machine, but for sure it works on the Wizzard of Oz machine. Ironic since I am from Kansas!!!
WELL THE Casino up here doesnot have their mschines set up to take them yet. They do however pay you with them as I found out on Saturday when I hit a jackpot of over $7,000.00. Made the cancer clinic very happy as they get half of my jackpots under 10,000.00 anything more than that they get 10%. Was a fun day out at the Dunes.
Actually, thats a pretty good gesture. I never hear of any winners from the casino here ever doing that.
As a side note, I wonder what the amount of winnings that gets reinvested at the casino is like?
I agree. That is a really good gesture. I might do the same if I could ever get back all I have lost over the past years. Could be many years or never before that happens!
i'm with the mayor on this one… it's "a gesture", certainly, however i bet that if you just donated 5% of what you PLANNED to gamble at the casino before you went, the charity would be much happier – since, at best, the casinos are only gonna pay you back 92.5% of what you spend…
I am not here to argue, but I hate statistics like that. I just wonder how they studied it etc. Actually, considering Vegas, somebody had to pay for all of the hotels and casinos. Nobody would do it if companies lost money. But it's entertainment for people and quite the place from past experience….
another thought that I had and it will never happen in an Indian owned casino as they say all abandonded spare change tickets are donated to a native charity. I would love to see drop boxes for various charities to drop those penny tickets into and then the charities could open the box and cash up the tickets for their organization. I have seen guys leave chips at the tables and never return the casino takes that money and donates to charity.
Just a side note I have lost many family members to cancer and my own mother is doing her best to beat it right now I am at the cancer clinic almost weekly and when treatment was being done more. I have never seen a nicer group of people than those who work at these clinics I had the privilage to watch the one in Peterborough ont. in action then when we move mom in with us in Saskatoon I have now seen our own clinic here in operation and I am proud to support them. Now if they could only offer free parking that would be great. (these are only my persoal opinions)
