This week we incurred a problem with the bank. they told us all marked bills that end up in the deposit they have been instructed to bundle & ship for destruction in their words they are mutilated and defaced. There go possibility of future hits. :o(
Man, the bank you deal with sure has a hate on for you and your marked bills!
hahaa…don't worry sweetie..that's what they told my boss's boss also…but I got hits out of that batch…so they couldn't have…they're bluffing….they love to make themselves feel powerful…LOL
Also, at the gathering Idjit had a bundle of used fives he got from the bank, with a Bank of Canada band. That bundle had marked fives in it that banks had sent in for destruction, but the BofC decided that they were ok for circulation and sent them back out.
So, even if your bank sends them for destruction only because they are stamped, but otherwise ok, the BofC will send them back into circulation. I also believe the BofC slaps the fingers of banks that send bills in for destruction that are not worn out. So in the end sweetie, you will have the last laugh ;-)
does this mean they will let you deposit them , if so then clean them up and fix all wrinkles and tears and then deposit them , let the bank send them off and the BofC will sort them and put the good ones back in circulation for you anywhere in canada . heck its like travelling all over canada to spend the money, except the B of C is doing it for you.
It's also my understanding that a bank can get in trouble if they send in too many bills for distruction that the
Bank of Canada doesn't accually think needs to be destroyed.
I've been a little leary of depositing marked bills. All this reasurence is kinda nice thanks and good tracken sweetie
