I made a withdrawal yesterday and received 8 nice, crisp, consecutive $50 notes.

Interestingly, the prefix was FML, and they were printed in 2008!

Could the BoC be stockpiling polymer 50s and getting circulating their old stash???

I would imagine as they would have to get rid of it. I just wonder how much of an inventory they would have at any given time

I saw a couple of guys at Circle Mall checking out the new $50 notes they got from the Scotia Bank.

Actually, it was really funny in my books is that I finally got some new $100 a few days ago and got into a conversation with some of the tellers. I guess a customer came in with a "new" 50 before they ever got one!. And it was not fake!
