I was going to try and deploy a new version today but I got side tracked installing a wireless network as a surprise for Princess (who was tired of cables running everywhere) around her place. And now I'm side tracked making dinner (but still able to computer in the kitchen thanks to wireless… yay!
Anyway, the new version really only has some minor fixes, though I have also changed the look of the main page. I have added much more information for new users and added the ability to log in from the main page. All good. Look for that on Monday.

Because I got tired of the main page and the forum list being so slow, I also spent some time working on the database queries for those pages… as a result, I'm pleased to tell you that I was so successful that both pages now only take a fraction of a second to display, at least with my super fast connection.
I will be deploying the new version late this afternoon; look for the details in the announcement forum later today.

Looking at the 'Whats New" page, I was amazed to see that 2.1.6 was deployed 19 days BEFORE 2.1.5 and 9 days BEFORE 2.1.4!!!
I know dr is fast, but that's ridiculous!
I really like the new main page too!!! This might help with people signing on instead of going anonymous. Really looks great!!

I didn't notice either!! I just think its all great, don't understand most of what you talk about 2.1.6 and 2.1.5?? But I do notice the changes and they have all been great. Way to go dr!!!
version 2.1.6 is minor changes from version 2.1.5
version 2.2 would be more signficant changes from 2.1
version 3 would be major version changes from version 2
ETC.
Nice job dr!!!!!! Inspite of your improvment to the login page I still use the little button at the top. Once you train the monkey one way it's pretty hard to change him!LOL
