Hints on Getting $5's out of Banks without a complaint.

I have in the last week or so been experimenting with the banks in my area in an attempt to see if they would give me a hard time getting a large number of $5 bills. After reading some of the horror stories I have read around here..

Here is what I have found.

Personal tellers will give me a hard time about getting more than about 40 at a time, most of the time.

The Business tellers freely sell me 100, 200, 300 at a time without batting an eye, and without a charge.

So next time you want a wad of $5's try the business tellers…
