So has anyone thought of a way to send a bunch of stamped bills to CCRA to pay your taxes? I wish I had, Actually I wish I did not have to pay taxes at all.

Heh, I tele-filed as they owed me money… RRSP's are a beautiful thing. :)

RRSP's are a beautiful thing? ack! Dr. I'll come back here in 40+ years and I'll ask that… they'll turn to RRIF's, and then when you have to start withdrawing from them, we'll see how much you like them… and the government.
RRSP's we could discuss their merits, and disadvantages for quite some time, and probably should over a beer somewhere…
(Bish0p looking around over his shoulders) You know somewhere, where the MAN isn't watching… :)

RRSP's are a wonderful thing..Save today when your tax rate is high and withdraw when your tax rate is lower….HOPEFULLY….
I actually survived a brutal tax audit this year. Currently, appealing. What bureaucracy…
I quit buying rrsp's once i looked into the pros and cons.
I now put a certain amount every month in an out of country account. much better interest too!
Good for you, I would however stop mentioning it in a public forum unless you are silly enough to check the Yes box on your tax return admitting you have $xxx, xxxx in out of country assests… the CCRA are everywhere…
Bish0p
I don't only rely on RRSP's… I have non-RRSP based investments also. But I honestly see no reason if you have money why you wouldn't take the tax break… if the markets go to hell in a handbasket, I may have nothing in my RRSP or my other investments but at least I saved the tax… that's the way I look at it anyway. :)

You could also give lots of money away to charities, then the Gov't gives 27% of it back (I think it's 27%).
RRSP rely on two assumptions.
1) that you trust the goverment <- now come on can you really answer YES to that one…
2) that you intend to earn less money when you retire and thus be able to take advantage of the Tax DEFFERAL not tax saving DEFFERAL this is Canada the goverment will always get it's money…
My problem with this assumption is I have no intention of earning less money when I retire, so a) why would I invest that way, and b) set the karma shall we call it to make it happen.
That's my two cents <- well really 1 cent after taxes

admitting you have $xxx, xxxx in out of country assests… the CCRA are everywhere…
well i wish i had xxx, xxxx in out of country assests. what box? i saw no box asking that and my accountant never asked. anyhow have to go mail a white owl to calgary.
The nice thing about Canada and it's government is that it can never make up it's collective mind. Ontario plans on making pensions obsolete again by dropping the manditory retirement age! So now you can work till you drop!! But I just have extra taken off each week so I don't miss it and don't pay.
Bish0p said the CCRA are everywhere…. He's right, I happen to be very high in the organization. Except for the fact that I've never heard of the CCRA, and am only 15.

I knew who they are, my mothers friend wants to take his gun to the local office and "retire" some of the tellers there.
Stocks are the way to go, I have made 28000 in 2 months on the NASDAQ :-)
Lol, bish0p, you comment stated my 2 cents. I was listening to Eminaem and in his song he says that line, when I read you line, he sung it too :) CooL!!
my mothers friend wants to take his gun to the local office and "retire" some of the tellers there.
This being Canada and all I will assume it is registered, so it would not fire, because we all now that registering it makes it safe

"my mothers friend wants to take his gun to the local office and "retire" some of the tellers there."
I just saw my life flash infront of my eyes. my heart went THUMP strong words there!
Actually, I have to admit, its not registered. But I don't think he's got any ammo for it. Not that he would really do that, just a joke. They've caused so much pain for him, legally.
Now there is a terrible waste of those tax dollers. I don't mind a little tax as long as its well spent but when they blow it on something like the gun registry it is maddening
Tim
blow it on something like the gun registry
Alan Roch said that if the gun registry saved just one life, it was worth the billion dollars.
But if they put a billion dollars into the health care system to pay nurses, I'll bet you anything that more than one life would be saved!
No kidding! Seems like every gov org is screaming for money (education, healthcare, policing, DND etc) and they have to go and throw it away.

I say they should inforce the laws they have and when a crime is committed with a weapon the perp should go to jail for life..It would be good to see the money spent on prisons and keeping the criminals behind bars…And when they are in jail the cannot kill another inocent person….
Very good point Pooga!!!!!!!
