The Bank in question is BMO (Bank of Montreal) 1083 McPhillips Street here in Winnipeg. I get hassled EVERY time I go there to pay my Mastercard with stamped notes.
If the note is in good condition, the Bank Of Canada will just put them back into circulation.. I wish the banks would get their s*** together..
I have no problems with any other banks or branches that I deal with. It seems that the above named bank/branch is the only one that has "issues" with stamped notes..
While I have tried to explain, they simply choose to not listen.
I AM QUITE SURE IT IS AN INDIVIDUAL THING!😠
I shall continue as I have been doing… paying my Mastercard bill with marked notes.
Just let them try and refuse….
(I do try to avoid this branch as it's just better for everyone!)
