VERY Interesting!

Well, to me anyway!

I went to my standard bank branch (8th street) yesterday to pick up a $1000 in 5s for our petty cash. I only go there occasionally as there is a new branch only 3 blocks from my home (Lakeridge). As I was sorting through them, there were 2 marked notes. Both were mine, so I can't enter them.

What was really interesting is that one is from August, and the other from February, and they both came from the 8th street branch originally! Since I was there only 3 or 4 times last year, I thought that that was pretty cool.

That, and the fact that the note made its way back to the original branch. Timing is everything. What are the odds that I would get those notes again?

I always think it would be cool if we could enter them. I've only had 2 or 3 of them in 6 plus years.

There is a user on another tracking site that has created a second username, to track their note that they legitimately get back. Something like "PoogaGhost".

I Know that this is against the rules, & that if the rules were changed they would probably be abused. I was adding them to my favorite notes but lost track of why I put them there. Ultimately it would be nice to be able to ad a second comment or something to these notes

Those are a couple of very good ideas. A hybrid of them might be workable.

If we ever get programming control, it would be something to consider.

I always thought there should be 2 sets of comments.
One like we have now, that are locked as soon as you press enter, this is where you would put in where you got the note from.
The second comment would not be locked, you could edit it forever. This is where you could correct a mistake on the first comment, or enter a comment on where you spent the bill a day or week later, or where you could comment on the bill coming back to you days, months or years later.

I rarely get my own bills back (in fact, ANY marked notes for that matter)
Yes, it would be nice to RE-enter a note that found its way back home.
