Help with chat!!

I went to the chat line and my dial up shut off, when I came back it kept telling me that my user name is already used and to register another name??? I even logged off CMT and that didn't help??? Anyone have any advice??

chat is doing the same thing to me.

I can help with the name in use thing, but not the punted part.

If you quit the site (shut down your browser) without logging off, the site doesn't realize it (or refresh that part) right away and you have to wait for it to realize you're gone. If you log back in and click to see what users are logged in, your nic will be in there more than once (I was in there 4x one time, sorry dr) and logging out doesn't clear the extra's, you just have to wait. Well, that's why your nic is use part. As for the punting, someone smarter than me will have to check it out.

It's nothing to do with the site and everything to do with the chat server. I'll talk to Bish0p about it.

I did wait awhile and when I came back it worked, only no one was there, oh well. Should have high speed by the end of June!!! Thanks for the help!!

Type /nick "New nickname"

And oh yeah click the Little quit chat button so the chat server knows you are leaving (if you can) and this problem wont happen.
