nope my sister… lmao… good story behind this one… decided after midnight to go out with my sis… we went to the bar to play the vlt's… none of my bills after marked would work in the machines… not even the change one… the girl behind the bar wasn't sure if she should take em with a stamp on em… so I ended up trading some money with the guy beside me… my sis even traded me one… had to laugh when she entered the bill in here… lol…this should make you laugh wally… lol

i hate to rain on anyone's parade but since i'm already getting that reputation here, i'd like to quote from the site guidelines:

i have specifically asked any family and friends that i have passed money to NOT enter the bills and i would have hoped that that was accepted standard practice here. please let me know if that is not the case.

rudyk I don't need to be hurt more here… I guess teaching the school about the site is wrong too then or the fact when I meet friends that I tell them or pull out the article and show people at the bank… but what about those that send bills with family and friends to spend for them… are you gonna complain about them too… I'm sorry I couldn't MAKE the VLT's take MY bills… next time i'll just stay home

You have no control over what someone else does all you can do is explain how the site works,and what they do is their own business..If they choose not to do as you ask we can live with it..As long as you don't give them the bill for the sole purpose of hhaving them enter it, I don't think there is a issue….

I mailed my neice a $5.00 bill (marked of course) and as she is only 6 years old or maybe 7 (not sure) I did not even think she could enter it. She took it to school to spend and her teacher helped her enter it. I did not ask her to nor have I ever asked anyone to enter bills. I did get an additional hit in Calagary on that same bill from someone else. I cannot even remember if it was anonymous or not and I cannot be bothered to look. One must ignore nitpickers shewolf. I could mail my sister a million in marked bills and she would not enter a single one but she sure as heck would spend them. Come to think of it, she would not even go to a casino, let alone anywhere with me. Not unless it was family related and she had too!!

Let's not lose sight of the main idea here. Spend your bills and see where they go. We don't want a WW-like incident here where people were (alleged) to have gone to the bank, withdrawn money to mark, deposited it and withdrew more, over and over again. That's not normal. If you are spending cash now instead of cheques or plastic, it's still normal spending.

In shewolf's case, if the machines wouldn't take a marked bill (a problem that does exist), then she was justified in trading for unmarked. The final dispostion of the hit is entirely in dr's hands. It's his site, his rules!

actually pooga you woulda laughed at me askin truckers for change… one guy was nice and traded me for a fresh twenty he had… but with a wink he did it, guess next time I gotta make sure to carry both marked and unmarked… trade money for drinks… vlts… never new a night out would stir up so much s**t… see wally this is why I stay home… lol

My comment was strictly with regards to discerning accepted practices with this site. I am fascinated with both the quantitative measures exhibited here (though I would love to see more statistics) and but also with the spatial distribution and diffusion of the money and those who embrace tracking it. I read, with great interest, the daily hits and map them out at least mentally (I am a geographer by training and occupation). I am concerned when I see things that threaten to skew the neutrality of the distribution. I think that the site's guidelines would be very good at maintaining the sancitity of the diffusion if followed. The major problem I see is in the generation of false hits and there seems to be a certain amount of competetive pressure being exerted to get hits (with the forums being filled with various amounts of cheerleading and self- and other congratulation). Whether Shewolf's hit via sister is legitimate or not is immaterial and not for me to decide. However, when someone reads the comment attached to it, they may get the impression that it is usual practice for family members to enter hits. It was THAT that I was questioning.

I apologise for any undue upset that this may have engendered but I was seeking guidance on this from all the many folks here who have been participants far longer than I. Despite my user level, I am still very much a newbie.

rudyk its not just for points… I pick names and go thru their hits with my girls and show them where hits go and all… I think the one they loved most so far was idjit since I couldn't get thru them all… I even took the location finding into the school and they love it… so its not all just about points… it is nice tracking it all… my girls are going to alberta this week and are looking forward to tracking bills on their daddy's pc… maybe talk to us before judging us
