Having a senior moment here. If a bill has a prefix ENX is it a replacement? I did not mark it yet.

I thought so. I dont save them, I just spends them unless someone wants it. just mail a replacement and a sase. first reply takes it. here on the forum not by mail. could gather a bit of money that way! forgot to mention, it is in vf condition. No rips or tears but it is very limp. needs viagra I guess. or starch and an ironing!

Viagra for your limp money…now why didn't I think of that…lol….and talking about ironing bills, I did that last week on a bunch of fives that were well wrinkled….but i forgot to use starch…rats….. :-]

what denomination is your bill and what vintage, antics? the BOC have stopped using the X (or any other specific marking) to demark replacement notes. replacement notes are just in certain number ranges.

Serotonin

1986 $5. Crow-Bouey varies from $35- $70 for vf depending on the backplate;
Thiessen-Crow about $10 for vf.

antics

it is an older 5 1986 and is signed crow bouey. looks like crow anyhow more thatn thiesson! not sure what you would call the condition as it is limp.

serotonin, of course, had it right with respect to the values on that series – it does depend on the back plate number, but my book doesn't list any premium for anything in less than F condidtion. with the flaccid state of your fin, it may not be worth a lot. someone might like it, just in case. if you don't get any other offers, i will take it. let me know.

Where did you say you got it? That is one old bill! I have an old Thiessen-Crow 5$ bill with an FNX serial. It is in need of some serious Viagara also! (Kept it, naturally…)

One other thing…ENX was used as a prefix on fives? I did not know that! Sounds like a prefix for a twenty almost!!!
