Carrying Money

Is it frowned upon to get a bunch of $5 say from Regina bank and mark it in comments as "from Regina bank" stamp them then disperse across Saskatchewan when I travel to my parents.

Yes that is the general idea. It is supposed to be, as a past member Rudy K used to say "the normal flow of money." In my mind taking money from a bank and spending it is normal. Unless you took it from the bank at gunpoint, that is only normal in some large American cities.

I ALWAYS take a "wad" of stamped $5's with me whenever I travel. Especially when travelling by vehicle across the country! I purchase my fuel using them as an example. This way they get distributed in some out-of-the-way town in Saskatchewan (or elsewhere). They're not used to seeing those stamped bills as much as the larger cities. And, I suggest, unless its a MAJOR purchase where its advisable to use your CC to get the awarded "points", I suggest you pay cash for ALL purchases. You'd be surprised how easy it really is. Many retailers love it as they are usually short on $5's as most folks these days use $20's.

Movie you must be a witch doctor you have risen the dead. Now I do have to wonder how some people would ever get the idea this was a game? Maybe when DR. added teams , scores, different player levels that might have confused some people that there was a bit of competition to be had on the site. Now that you have pulled him out of the ground please put him back. Mr. Movie put the scary man away.

well, as befits some people's narrow world view, I might remind some that not all "Teams" are related to games… my sister was part of a Trauma Team at the hospital, but they were not in any competition with the High Acuity Care Team!. And not all numbers reflect a score in a game. When the doctor tells you 160/95… for pity sakes, man… it isn't a challenge to BEAT that! And well, I dunno how to explain different levels given to people who have been around longer… perhaps if some had experienced more than one grade, they might understand that school, for example, where levels are awarded, is not necessarily a competition.

BC… have you every experienced something where participation was its own reward?

I ignore messages like that as they pertain to nothing on this site and some ? person causing grief. However he seems to have gone away and that suits me just fine.

Seems he "popped up" just to "rear his ugly head"! (as the saying goes!!)

Do not know why he returned or why he ever left but glad he does not come to the site much. I would not say he was a pain to everyone but we had very different opinions and he always felt he was right.

I could not believe it, its as if he heard me mention his name? is there some setting that can notify your name is mentioned?

Naw I do not think so I think he lurks around on the site and if he see's something he really feels compelled to reply to then he does. I like when he stays silent as it makes for a nice web site. Some might disagree but for me silence is golden.

He had not logged in for a year & a half before I mentioned his name, & then he logged-in within hours of me mentioning his name? It has to be more than coincidence?

RudyK gave me a hit on DEC 2…That is why he logged in,,,I am only guessing though..
